Financial Analyst

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will hold an ACCA qualification and have a strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), accounting, and a deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial strategy and decision-making processes through data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): 

1. Lead and support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. 
2. Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key trends, variances, and areas for improvement. 
3. Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision-making. 

• Accounting & Reporting: 

1. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS. 
2. Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
3. Maintain and reconcile financial records, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. 

• Data Analysis & Reporting: 

1. Create and maintain dashboards to provide key performance indicators (KPIs) to management. 
2. Provide actionable insights through financial data analysis to support various business units. 
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between operational strategies and financial objectives. 

• Compliance & Risk Management: 

1. Ensure financial reports and processes adhere to IFRS standards and other relevant regulations. 
2. Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. 
3. Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective analysis and forecasting. 

Qualifications & Skills: 

• Education & Certification: 

1. ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification required. 
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

• Experience: 

1. Minimum of 0-1 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or a similar financial role. 
2. Solid experience with IFRS and financial reporting. 

Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools (e.g. QuickBooks, Odoo, ERP Next, Zoho or similar ERP systems). 

• Skills & Competencies: 

1. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
2. Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. 
3. Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex data analysis. 
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to stakeholders. 
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
